The rain has not stopped and the mums in the flood zones are working harder than ever…
Lives have been lost, people are missing, homes and jobs are gone and there is so much work ahead!
Australia has got behind QLD and the donations are rolling in, however many of us mothers, are sitting at home ,our hearts with the mums in the flood zones, wondering how WE can HELP them?
Trying to imagine, how incredibly difficult this would be…
Sunny Mummy is all about mums looking after themselves AND supporting other mothers, NOW is the time for us to let these mothers know…
Our hearts are with them and we right behind them!
ENTER PROJECT SHINE!
We want to bring back some sunshine to their lives, by sending the little necessities & luxuries where possible, that help us mums take care of ourselves!
Project SHINEis an initiative of Sunny Mummy, an organisation currently in the process of registering for ’Not for Profit’ status.
Project SHINE is committed to raising $5000 cash by midnight, Friday the 14th of Jan 2010, together with donations of personal care items.
Thanks to the tremendous support and spirit of the Sunny Mummy Community and Sunnies in Business, WE have already raised over $2100 as at 9am today {12/1/11}, that is almost HALFWAY!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We believe the best way to help everyone, YOU included, is to join our Sunny Mummy Sisterhood!
Project SHINE, will then use the funds raised, to pack and deliver the care packages to the mums in the flood zones, as well as purchase items needed!
If you are not yet a member, today is the day to join!
We are also seeking direct donations of goods such as:
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Skincare
- Make-Up
- Bras & Undies
- Pads & Tampons
- Deodorant
- Hairbrushes
- Haircare
- Razors
- Body Lotions
- Accessories
- Stationery
- Books
- ANYTHING else YOU can think of that helps you feel like a woman and take care of yourself!
Things to remember: all items, with the exception of books, must be brand new and sealed or with tags, for hygiene and transportation purposes. No donation is too small, so if you can pick up a little something extra for a Flood Mummy in your groceries this week, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

or if you need a street address to courier items to, please email sisterhood@sunnymummy.com.au and we will provide you with one.
We will arrange the logistics of getting these items to the flood zones and are currently coordinating a team of Gold Coast mums, to help sort and pack the items.
